Coyotes sign Taylor Pyatt to a one-year contract

Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced last week that the Coyotes have signed left wing Taylor Pyatt to a one-year contract. Pyatt recorded 43 penalty minutes in 69 games with the Vancouver Canucks last season and also appeared in four playoff games. Pyatt has registered 191 points and in 532 career NHL games with Vancouver, Buffalo and the New York Islanders.

In 2006-07 season, Pyatt scored a career-high 23 goals and 37 points for Vancouver. Originally he began his career with the New York Islanders before joining the Sabres. After recording 80 points and 131 PIM in 230 games with the Sabres over four seasons, Pyatt was traded to Vancouver Canucks.
